Question

I just bought a new 2010 sportsman 800 efi there is a small black swivel like nob on the right side of my headlight. Thought it was maybe a dimmer for the tach but I turn it both ways and it doesn't seem to do anything. Anybody gat any ideas? Any help would be greatly appercited

pretty sure its the adjustment knob for the head light for up and down, check out that section of your manual and that should tell you but if its what im thinking about thats what it is

It is the adjustment nob. Whatch your headlight closely while turning the nob and you will see it move up or down.

Your both right. Thank u both, feel like it was a dumb question now guess I should've spent alittle more time playing with it. Good to know though

The forum is here for learning. I personally don't know everything about the machines, but I know a good deal. I am not a mechanic and did not know everything when i first started riding. Most is from trial and error and many good people on the forum willing to answer my 'dumb' questions. So don't be afraid to ask. There are many here that can help point you in the right direction.
