Carb question

I nned some help, we just picked up a 90 trail boss 250 and before I put my son on it I wanted to go through it and check everything out. The other day I filled it up for the first time and over night it leaked a ton of gas all over the garage floor. I started tearing it down and founf a few lines that are just laying open. As you can see from the picture A&B are from the top of the carb with D on the bottom. C is coming off the top of the tranny case? D is where i think all the leaking fluid was coming from because the tube was full when I oicket it up. PLEASE let me know where they are supposed to be, thanks in advance!!

A and B are just vent tubes that vent up under the seatC looks like the tranny vent and the other green tube with gas in it is probably off the bottom of carb, carb over flow, I would suspect the needle and seat, also called float valve is bad in the carb , allowing the gas to run right through carb, might just have some debri in it and need a good cleanin but I doubt it, if you shut the gas off when its not runnin it will stop leaking on the floor but wont solve the problem, check air box and filter and see if its gassy

Pulled it off yesterday and will tear it apart today. How difficult are they to rebuild?

This is pretty common... my vote would be the needle and seat also. Just went through this with a Kawasaki 300. On the Kawasaki it would not run out the overflow tube when the engine was running but within 5 or 6 seconds it will start running all over the floor once you turn off the engine... so shut off the fuel valve before you turn off the engine. When you look at the float and seat they may look perfect... mine did. So I cleaned them real well(just the needle was $40) with gumout and then lightly hit them with emery cloth... and it solved the problem. Good luck.
