polaris ranger steering problems

Hello All,

I have a new 2011 Polaris EPS Crew and it has huge problems. You can ride the crew for a while and when it heats up to around 207, kill it, then it will not start. It just sits and turns over. After it sits awhile, it will start. Dealer has had it 3 different times keeping it for up to 1 month and cant figure it out. I need help!!! Now, it started a clicking noise from the left rear tire then it wont move in turf mode, only 4X4. It is like the lefts side wont pull.

Please give me ideas. My kids love this thing, but it wont work right.

i might not know much about rangers yet... but im guessing you are having electrical problems...

check all connections and put grease on them (di-electric)
as for the vehicle not going into turf../not working in turf

check the wires going to the rear dif....
also check with your dealer.... it sounds like your vehicle might be a lemon... and you could try to get a new one under warrenty... if not ... make polaris take it... and maybe add afew dollars ( might be from afew hundred to 1-1.5 thousand dollars) and get a new one...

in the worst case you will need to buy a new rear dif. , fan for cooling and all sort of sensors/electrical related things that will run up very high in cost and very fast....

Thank you Shui- THe problem is, I cannot talk to anyone at polaris, only customer service represenatives that say, take it to a dealer. Even the dealer says it could be a lemon. Do you know how to get in touch with the right people at Polaris? Your help is gratly appreciated!

sadly i do not know much about how to contact polaris but might need to soon...
so im learning from the thread aswell... hopefully you will share how you are getting along with polaris.....

has the dealer tried to contact polaris? he should be doing it for you... it gives him money... ( he will "sell" another ranger and send back the one you had)

hopefully things work out for you... soon...

get everything documented and take it to another dealer the first issue sounds like fuel pump, when it wont start have them check fuel pressure, the second issue sounds like rear diff problems, maybe just selenoid for turf mode
