04 carbed ranger 6x6 backfiring help?
My 04 carbed 500 ranger is backfiring whenever i let off the gas and the vehicle overruns the motor. Speed doesn't seem to matter, but it does it more than once the faster I go.
A little history on the machine is that it sat up for 2 years before I got ahold of it and the carb was gummed up and tank full of bad fuel. I had to tear down the carb and clean everything up. Since then I have changed all fluids, filters, and plug. It runs great and idles perfect except for the annoying backfire when I let off the gas. This sucks when I am easing through the woods in the morning.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
