97 Sportsman 500 Bumper??

Hey guys. I'm in need of a good bumper for my newly purchased 500. A buddy of mine had one at one time that coverd his up real nice. It was a tube style and kinda wraped around the front a bit. Would like to have something similar. Any help is apperciated.

dont think you will find anything that will fit it and be good... (unless the 97's had the same mounting points as alot of year)
best bet is to go weld something up... going to be cheaper than a new polaris brand bumper and its going to be the way you like it...

oh and you can always buy a generic brand bumper or a different model bumper you like and change it/mod to fit the mounting point on your quad...
but that wont be easy....
sorry i dont know anything about quads like yours as no one around here (that i know) has one... so cant help on that.

I apperciate the Help. I'm going to continue the search. But it's not looking good for me at all.

I bought the quad for $450. Looks new. Needs front Rack and plastic bumper. But has 400 orig mi, stock tires from "97" look 3/4 tread and the thing runs like a top. Im going to replace the plastic and add some heavy duty bumpers.

welcome... plus all bumpers really do the same thing... protect the front part of the atv, mostly the center...
some (most even) extend past to protect the headlight somewhat, with either a bar or a "square/ circle/triangle) around the headlight...
i would weld my own bumpers but the only thing stopping me is that i already have them on my machines... going to weld up one for the rear of my x2 soon... as soon as i have another project to weld..

nothing you can do about the plastics really... only oem... search around for either used, or around the forums (some members had parts to sell)
and even some sites have some new plastics for old models...
