polaris 850 thumb warmer

I was reading the directions for installing my Symtec Winter Grips and if I"m reading the directions correctly it states to put the thumb warmer on the front (thumb side) of the throttle lever. I found that strange since all the thumb warmers I've had and seen on snowmobiles is on the back side of the throttle lever.

Any thoughts or first hand expiernce installing this system?

if im correct a sled throttle is larger and plastic and can conduct heat easier probably, and wheeler throttle is metal and has to be on front for heat to disapait, i think anyway, i have Polaris ones on my new 850xp thumb and hand, they kickass!!!

hmm.. not sure about which is the correct way..
but EVERY.. thumb warmer is on the thumb side that i have seen... maybe they are just weaker than snowmobiles ?
i guess its more efficient to keep the warm side on the thumb but.. who knows maybe the backside makes it more comfortable in the summer when its not in use?

like i said. dont have hand/thumb warmers, and every single one i have seen where on the thumb side...
