top speed on a 1998 Polaris Xplorer

i was wanting to buy a 1998 Polaris Xplorer. but im not sure if its big enough. all my friends have the arcti cat 400 4x4s will this keep up with them ?there telling me thay run about 60

It should go around 60 or so. Speeding on a atv is never good thou. Accidents happen at high rates of speed and rough terrain. Ride safe. You should be able to do anything they can.

Depends what size engine it has, my 300 2 stroke maybe does 40 top's

I have a 98 xplorer 300, it will get to around 45, takes a while to get that last 5 mph though

ok thanks for the info. i got another ?the front shock is bad was wanting to no if i could buy the shock or if i have to buy the hole strut . would a car shock work

my 400 will do 60mph. And you should kick the **** out of them in a Race if your is going to be a 400
(mine Will kick the shit out of 2 other 4 stroke 400 quads that i know of).
