Narrowed it Down - A8812 vs. A212

Well, I narrowed it down. First of all, I eliminated the 8114 trailer as it is so wide (8' 5.5") which is too wide to fit in a standard single garage door.

So that leaves the A8812 and A212.

The 8812 will fit both my Touring and X2. Touring will be in front w/ length of 86.5 and side loaded. The X2 will be rear loaded from back. With this configuration I will be able to put all 4 ramps on the sides as well as be able to buy an extra one for the box to simply box it in. If I sideload the X2 in front, I figure I will NOT be able to put on the side ramps in front.

I would really like the A212 as it sits a little lower plus it has bigger wheels (I figure better gas mileage). The unfortunate thing is that it is only 79.5" wide which will not allow me to side load the touring which is 86.5" and have the side gates installed. Dang! Whereas the length would work. Too bad I can't get a slightly modified A212 which is wider.

Thus I am leaning towards the A8812. Anyone have any final thoughts? Anyone have the A8812? Do you like it / regret that you bought it?

I also looked at the Triton trailers and didn't find anything better that fits my needs.

Thanks!

If your sole purpose of the trailer is to haul the Touring and the X2 then I would take a second look at the 6316 LW. You would be hauling the atv's in-line, narrowing the trailer so that it tracks the same as the pull vehicle. I have hauled 2-Tracked atv's on mine with no issues. I have also hauled 2-Tourings with front/rear brushguards.

I would buy the 6316 LW again without hesitation. The only change I would make is I would buy it with 14" wheels instead of the 13" mine came with. My original plan was to buy it with the 14" wheels but the dealer I bought from had a carry over with 13's on hand and I had the opportunity to sell my previous trailer the day before so rather than ordering what I really wanted I opted for the 13"s and honestly have no complaints in over 10,000 miles of trailering.

Thanks Fishy but I did look at this one as well. The main reason I don't like this one is that it won't fit in my garage. Thus, this is a showstopper. It is sooooooo long.

I don't know where you live, but if you're anywhere close to where this one is located, it's one helluva deal.

You are correct, you will need approximately 21 feet of garage length with the tongue to fit the trailer. Post up some loaded pics of whatever one you pick up.

Thanks for keeping us updated. More often than not people will start a topic and never chime back in with what they decided to do.

Mine will haul four sleds and three quads. Pulls like a dream. Plus you've got security and no road rash. All aluminum-stainless hardware-no salt worries.

Quality All Aluminum Trailers by RNR Trailers

R & R trailers out of Michigan. The third axle is an option but to me well worth it. Its a 7' x 22' plus a 5' V nose.

I use a 16 foot car hauler from Big Tex. I can put two full size polaris atvs end to end and can load 3 by loading two across from the side and one from the end. This is a no thrills situation but get the job done. I have never traveled more than a day from I live to ATV but if you are traveling far to ride then security becomes a very important issue. The a long enclosed trailer is answer.
