is my drive belt worn out?

i usually don't ask stupid questions, but im pretty certain my belt is passed it's prime. am i correct?

but a picture from the side would help...

by side you just mean a length wise pick? or a pick to see the thickness?

I can't enlarge the pic. Look for glazing on the sides of the belt. Possible cracking or fraying of the belt.

im gonna say it's done, my bike has started to seem like it's slipping a bit so i took off the cover to look. it looks pretty damn thin and light reflects of both sides so i bought a new one.

compare width to the new one, looks like its thinner in one spot than other from the lettering

If

you've got the belt out anyhow you might as well replace it. Keep the old one with you in case you need to replace in the field. (God forbid)
