Did i make a good purchase?

Sooo... i just purchased an 05 Sportsman 400 4x4. I paid $1400 for it.

The bike runs fine, but the electric starter is bad. I can pull-start it on the first pull. The plastics are a little beat up and the tires are bald, so I am going to have to purchase new tires. The steering is a little off, there is some play in the steering at the tires are a bit cambered to the inside. Everything else seems to work fine; breaks, 4x4, lights, etc.

Given everything that i listed above, do you think it was a good purchase for $1400?

I thinks thats a pretty decent price. The slack in the steering more than likely is bad tie rod ends. all balls brand has a kit that includes 1 inside and 1 outside tie rod end in a package. For an aftermarket starter try db electricial. Make sure your wheel & hub bearings are good.

Mileage is 2200 and hours are 321. At least that's what i reads on the gauges. Feel free to give me a list of items to check.
