Hi there,
It only takes 1 ride in the cold know I'm gonna need heated grips too. How difficult was it removing the factory grips? Any tool / process suggested to remove them?

I got the tip from here. To remove the factory grips, just take a compressor with a "spray" nozzle on it and put it in the hole on the end of the grip. Block the hole in the other grip with your finger or tape. Then just spray and pull. Very easy.

The Symtec grips come with the heating elements built into new grips, the tool I used to remove my factory grips was an exacto knife. Split 'em right down the middle.

Cool, thanks guys. I guess I can try Medics way first then if that fails use Kickers. I'll probably go with the Symtec's.

UPDATE: Got the Symtec grips installed and tested successfully!! The existing grips came off easily with a single slice of my utility knife. followed the instructions for using WD40 and hit it with a hair dryer for the last two minutes as an extra kick and the new grips slid on 1 shot. I cut some of the slack out of the wires, connected it to the accessories ports power and ground and mounted it on the pod face. I'm ready for next winter now!!!
Thanks for the info guys, appreciate it.

Nice job Cap. Sounds like just the way I did it. I mounte dmy control below the speedo rather than to the side. But otherwise the same. You will not regret these next winter.
