First snow plowing...
So I got to plow snow yesterday for the first time with my 2012 Sportsman 550. I gotta say I was really impressed at how well it moved snow. We only had about 4 or 5 inches but it was a good practice run for me. I can remember reading on here somewhere somebody said to put a big washer between the winch hook and the winch saver. Right away yesterday I noticed the hook pulling back into the winch saver. I pulled it back out a couple of times and told myself that I would have to get a washer on it this week. By the end of the day my winch saver was broke in half. So now I will have to get a new winch saver and put the washer on it. I will say that the fact that the winch saver did that it probably in the long run prevented me from breaking my cable. All in all it was a good day of plowing and I was really impressed. I can't wait to get a deeper snow. I plowed 7 driveways yesterday and when I got done I wasn't even tired. My snow blower would have kicked my a**.

I have a 550 too. I bought a Eagle II plow. So far I have nothing but good things to say about it, but time will tell.

When I bought my Sportsman 550 back in November I got my plow package and most of my accessories with it and financed it so I got the Glacier II plow. I am sure there is better plows out there if you don't mind spending more money. I did add a rubber flap to it and I'm getting ready to add a better wear bar on it. Other than that the plow worked great. I can have it on or off in less than 30 seconds.

I've had a Polaris Glacier II on my old 500 and now a Warn plow on the 550, can't see how the winch hook comes close to the winch saver????
The Glacier plow would hit the bumper way before the hook hits and the Warn hook hooks to the plow mount, no way it would ever hit.
Maybe thats why the Glacier III mount is for the XPs??
The Warn Provantage is way better than the Polaris plow!
Thor
I can see the big washer next to the hook, but wouldn't the washer and nut on the fairlead side eventually damage it???

For the synthetic ropes you remove the back washer. That way only rubber hits the fairlead.

Maybe you should figure out a way to attach the snowblower! I am sure it would be a bit complicated, but it would be cool.
