the older ones had 2 : min and MAX, in both areas the power steering WORKED
never models have 3: min, medium, max... so its still working...
its kinda annoying... honestly you wont see me flipping levers on the go... i would set it to ONE position and just KEEP it there...

the anti kickback would still "work" as the steering input still goes through the EPS and not directly as without EPS...
as to the OP, most people WANT EPS on ALL the time...
its the point of owning an EPS machine...
i agree in some cases having NO eps is better, but... how many times out of the full trail does that happen? how many people want to turn off eps?
just seems like 1 more button that might break, one more feature to configure in the ecu and another part/different eps that will handle being turned off and on and survive blows and hits....
like someone said, can am offers a feature like this (well almost)
but im sure im not the only one who wants to go WOT down a road, cruise on a hard trail and suddenly stop and turn into the mud pit... and to do this WITHOUT switching or toggling any buttons/levers...
Edit: forgot to add: the polaris EPS is AMAZING. maybe the best out there, and really, it taking speed and other things into account to add or decrease the assist level is amazing... compared to a can am which is the same thing but done MANUALLY....
