A crankshaft alone is probably going to be in the $500 range. Plus seals, gaskets, bearings, labor, etc etc etc.
With its age, you probably are not going to be able to find a complete running motor, and this one is going to cost some $$$. If you can do it yourself, then that helps, but if your not comfortable building an engine from the ground up (I'm not, I wouldn't build my own motor) then its going to be expensive to fix.
This thing has almost no value as is. I wouldnt pay more then $50 or $100 for it. At least if you pay $100 for it, and it turns out it is going to cost $1500 to fix the motor, you can part the rest out and get your $100 back.
