Polaris always this f ing slow with warrenty???

Pretty pissed off i got my new 850xp a month ago and ordered a travel cover the same day, first of all the idiot at parts counter didnt order it so it took a xtra week after i waited and called them and they said " O that was never ordered" so i was alright not the end of the world, finally got the cover, loaded up went up to inlaws, lasted 15 miles before the seams blew out around the bumper, returned as soon as i could after christmas, i called a week and a half later and Polaris was closed over holidays i guess was first excuse and then, i just called today and they said it can take 2 weeks to 2 months!!!! i snapped and told the guy at the dealer ill never buy another Polaris accessory again if thats how it is, F ing retarded guy spends $10,000 on a wheeler and another $120 on a cover and they just dick around getting around to resolving it, sorry about long story just venting anyone else have issues like this, its not like its the end of the world just pisses a guy off i guess or at least me it does.

I worked for a car dealership for 25 years. Nothing will give the dealership a worst attitude and do less for you is when you loose your temper at them. To get the most you have to be persistent and firm but never NEVER loose your temper. Its a hard thing to do but some people have that talent and some don't.

I've never seen a warrenty take less than 2 weeks. Also, a warrenty is only as good as your dealer. Pissing them off wont speed things up at all.

Like I said some people have a good talent at it and some don't. As for myself I am more the lose my temper type. Just can't help it. I know from working at a dealship one person can get anything they wanted and the next one got nothing. Once they lost there temper forget it.

Pissing them off won't make them work faster for you.. but it helps your blood pressure at least...

OK.. but still it is insulting how they don't give a fuck once you bought the machine...

it's a dealer problem, and anyway, you should order these things on the internet if they can't stick their thumb out of their *ss. Only after a few years will their bussiness go down if they don't give good service...

Ya you would think it would be easy and simple but Polaris has to aynalize it and stare at it for for who knows how long, it blew out on the seam it was obvious think the dealer could've made that decsion and delt with it themselves, im glad it did blow out on the seam or id be screwed, i have the Polaris bumpers and the rear ones come up to a sharp angle so im sure it will happen again so i think in gonna have someone so some thick patches on the inside one the corners to reinforce it, and hopefully it holds up or else they wont warrenty next time im sure.

Little confused but why would a travel cover be a warranty deal, I mean if it was only a few weeks or days old that is? If I bought an accesory (or even an atv) and it broke the first time I used it I would not try to claim it on warranty. I would have explained the situation to the dealership and returned it for a new one. Its not their fault or yours it tore so they shouldnt have a problem giving you new one.

Sounds like a Local Dealer issue rather than a Polaris issue, unfortunately all dealerships are not created equal. Not sure where in MN you are from but I know if I had that issue my dealer would hand me a new cover on the spot. I'm also fortunate that my dealer is open on Sundays and stocks a large inventory of parts and accessories.
