wiring to the ignition switch
I am installing a winch on my 2003 polaris 4x4. I am trying to figure out what colored wire is the hot one coming from the ignition switch, that way the winch will on be turn on when the ignition is.. can anybody help.

If Polaris used the same wiring colors on the on older models then it will be the orange with white tracer on it. Mine is a 2010 though. If you find that color wire, check it with a multimeter.

Polaris keyed-power circuits are: red with a white tracer prior to appr. 2008, orange with a white tracer thru the current models. Hope this helps. Chuck
