gas gauge for polaris atv

i have a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. - Polaris Pursuit Camo LE and picked it up monay--just filled it up and the gauge is flashing "fuel" like it is low. i checked the shut off and it is on....any ideas or suggestions? thanks

call the dealer and take it back

I had the same problem with my 800 EFI. i took the fuel pump out of the tank and removed the arm that holds the float. My float would sink to the bottom of my tank. I took a wine cork and installed it were my float was. I then coated the cork with fiberglass resin. I then reinstalled the fuel pump and my gauge works perfectly now. I hope this will help you and any others that might be having this problem.

I am with 4getful2. If you just picked it up Monay, let the dealer fix the float. You shouldn't have to already. If it happens out of warranty, then follow ssnowden's advice or buy a new float.
