Oreilly Auto has Mobil 1 full synthetic 5.49 a quart.

I bought 0w40 for the 4-stroke bikes, in lieu of the Polaris PS-4 PLUS.

I'm also going to run K&N 303 oil filters with the nut on the top of them.

My ATV-GURU bumpers ARE FOR SALE, front and rear, BRAND NEW. Me a reasonable offer and they are YOURS.

(As you probably already know, they are currently unavailable from TheAtvSuperstore.com /ATV-Guru for an undisclosed amount of time).

new to the polaris experience - I see lots of info on the 'oil in the airbox' problem and some people try to associate it to a poor choice in oil. How does that compare to the factory stuff. I have always used synthetic oil. I love the Amsoil line for my autos.

Not sure; that problem does not exist on the 500 or 800 to my knowledge. Only on the 850 to my knowledge.

The polaris PS-4 PLUS synthetic oil is 2w50.

The old polaris standard was PS-4, which I believe was 0w40. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That's a good price! Just changed the oil in my truck, paid $6.47 at Walmart for Mobil 1.

I'm pretty sure the old oil was 0w50. I stick with the Polaris oil. It only costs me about $4 more every 50 hours. It is worth it to me to not have to wonder if it is the proper oil for my atv.

For Polaris to come out with a bizzar grade of oil of 2w-50 is nothing short of a gimmick to sell propritory oil. Out of princable, I can't support that. The best oil I found is Royal Purple. I run it in everything I own from Polaris to Porsche.

I was out at my dads this weekend and sure enough I found an old quart bottle of Polaris PS-4 oil in my 4wheeler travel box.

Sure enough it was labeled 0w40. It was purchased after 2001 since the bike is a 2001. I took a picture but I guess my phone didn't save it!

Oh well, thought I would let you guys know.

I found the pic I took of that Pure polaris 0w40. Not saying they haven't changed the spec a couple times, but this was purchased after 2001. I got this when I purchased a 2001 Trail Boss 325 used.

Polaris is surely making up their own viscosities. That is my conspiracy theory for today
