2005 polaris preditor shifting problems'

I own a 2005 Polaris Predator. We race it during the summer. Last year while racing I noticed that it was having problems shifting while drag racing which resulted in me loosing alot of races.

I am wanting to know what to do about this or if there is anything to do to fix this..Pls help me out ppl

Change your oil . And let us know what the filter looked like.
