EPI clutch kit install
Just installed an EPI clutch kit in my 2011 500 HO touring. I talked to 2 tech's from EPI very helpful. I was told to skip the secondary spring due to the touring models having a heavier spring in it already due to the extra expected weight. So I only did the primary. I put in 47gram weights ( now I'd like to try the 50's) and the red spring they suggested. That only took me back to stock. (The reason for the kit, I put on Sedona aluminum rims and Dirt Devil 26",s) So, I took it upon myself to install a silver spring, 35# for red, 50# for silver, subtle change but big difference in performance. (only wants to try to raise the front tires but can't- that's why I want to try the 50gram).No aftermarket manufacturer has a clutch kit out yet for a Polaris touring. I guess were excluded when it comes to wanting to beef us up. And an, oh yah! screw the clutch puller! Just remove the belt and replace the parts.

hey we7889, I'm new to the Polaris ATV's. I've seen a lot of posts about the EPI clutch kits. What kind of performance improvements do they make? I don't want to pop wheelies or anything, but if I can improve performance without breaking things, I'm all for it. My '04 700 Sportsman is all stock, but I've added a rear seat and it has 26" tires. I think stock that year are 25's. I will be mostly trail riding and going thru a few mud holes. Any info will be helpful.

How difficult is it to install a new epi clutch kit? Where is the place you found best to order from?

Epi
I called EPI directly and talked to a tech. No one was listing a clutch kit specifically for a touring. For mine I found the silver spring and 47 gram weights seemed to pull better than using the red spring.
