Snorkel Ideas/Kits for 2012 Sportsman 500
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has installed a snorkel kit on their Sportsman 500 at all? Or on any Polaris that would also comform to a 500? Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Also, how about any pictures of your set-up? Particular brand or set-up? I'd like to play in the water a bit more but I'm afraid that I'm going to get some water where it really doesn't belong. Also, anyone use this or seen this?

Triangle atv has the best snorkel kits for your atv if you are talking about airbox and belt. As far as exhaust snorkel, I personally do not like them and most others will agree. Not too many people run an exhaust snorkel any more. they just are not necessary.

What sort of mods do I need to make to install one of the Stealth Snorkel kits? Jetting? Stock Exhaust or replace it with another? Etc.? I'm definitely interested in the Stealth Kit but other than the kit, I'm just concerned that I'll need to modify and purchase more on top of the kit. Is this the case? Thanks.

i got my snorkels from snorkelyouratv.com mine was kind of a pain in the a$$ because i got the 2010 kit and mine is the 11 but i made it work they now have a kit for the 2011 that would work for the 2012

Is your 500 fuel injected? If it is then you will need to do nothing to the machine other than a very small amount of trimming on the plastic under the light pod.

No, it's not fuel injected. So, I going to assume that it will need a good amount of modification.

yea but i like the emblem thing as long as it doesn't effect the cooling, a nice polaris star would look awesome there
