Tire sealant: Slime or what?
What's everybody using these days for a tire sealant? I have a couple of slow leaks on my sportsman. Are you using slime @ 24oz or something else?

You can use slime, just follow tge amounts in the bottle.
Just do everyone a favor. If you use slime, tell the guy who changes your tires next there is slime in them. Or they may ask you not to come back. It's a nasty surprise if they aren't expecting it, and cleaning their equipment can easily chew up the $20-$30 a tire they charge to change.

with slime liquid in your tires do the tire plugs and rubber cement still work on the trails?
I would hate to lose the ability to plug tires on the trail.
does anyone have any personal experience with this?

Yes Blueline got that right.
If you ever have someone dismount that tire make sure you tell them that stuff is in there before they go to work on it. messy

I use the plugs and would only use Slime as a last resort.

It's fine. I was on a road trip and when I stopped for gas I found I picked up a large screw in my tire. We were in the middle of no where, tire shops were already closed, and we couldn't afford the time to stop for the night and wait for tomorrow, so at the gas station I pulled the screw out, plugged the tire with a basic "Slime" brand tire kit, including using the rubber cement on the plug, and then put slime into that tire as a back up, since our time frame was so tight.
That was a year ago, and probably 4-5,000 miles and the plugged/slimed tire on my truck has been holding air just fine. Including enduring a very snowy winter with road salt.

if you use tire plugs you are still stranded until you fix it and if you ran over 5 tacks this could be a nasty walk home. Slime is awesome, just tip the guy 5-10 bucks if you can.
#2 get them changed at walmart only, they sell slime. Tell them sorry, i bought the stuff from here. They can't tell you to leave and not come back

I used slime in my "old" tires, because they were old. Not with my new ones.

you put slime in after the tires were plugged?
My concern is that on the trail if I get a puncture and have slime liquid in the tires will that ruin the rubber cement's ability to work properly if I get a puncture that requires a plug.
