How much water can a stock 2010 550 X2 safely go through on a river crossing?

haha, touchy situation there. Depends on if you want to void your warranty apparently, just dont get any water and by any i mean not a single drop of water in the exhaust side of the cvt housing. I just voided my warranty because i got a little bit on the belt and clutch and they wont warranty anything because the water was above the foot rests! But, it will honestly take a lot more than they allow. My safe bet is always 2-3 inches from the bottom of your seat.

Thanks for the input guys !!! I read somewhere that the water should not be highter than the air intake but I was not exactly sure where it was located on the 2010 550 X2.

if i was you i would clean up any water sports in the clutch cover and go to a different dealer they may be willing to work with you.
as far as water crossing your safe to the seat as long as the belt doesn’t get water on it if so it will slip and than you just let it dry for a few minutes and good to go again. to be 100% safe your foot wells are lower than the belt so you wont have any problems. take your seat off and see if you have a air box there if so look at the tube that leave the air box and travels up that’s the air intake.
