Can you adjust them down? That can be a problem also for me when just meeting traffic on some of the backwoods roads.

I just remembered I still have PIAA lights that can be adjusted down when meeting on coming traffic I'll turn the HID's off. You might consider something like that also. Don't waste your money on the 35 watt PIAA's they really aren't that good. Walmart sells a cheap kit with almost the same results.

cant have fire dept lights that are gonna be going on the front guard once i get it all set then ill figure it out.
i dont preplan to much stuff just do it when i get there/need it

just run them through a good relay. Do you know what brand the lights are? If they are strobes they may overload the stator. Make sure you can run your fire lights with the headlights without exceeding the max output of the stator. There is a reason why firetrucks and police cars have heavy duty alternators.
