Which snow plow do you have and reccomend?
I am leaning toward the Warn provantage 60in with power pivot (possibly)
We do snow removal in driveways and parking lots. I have heard that there are issues with the plow tripping way to easy. I do not want this. Do you have any opinions? Also polaris came out with a Glacier 3 for 2011. I dont know what the difference is though. Also i would let the plow ride on the skid shoes rather than direvtly on the wear bar. Is this what yall do?

I have a Moose plow on my 850XP. It works very well and has some nice adjustable shoes to set your plow depth on the surface that you are plowing. After some trial and error I got the blade tension just right so it doesn't trip over unless I hit something that is too strong for my quad to push (i.e. curbs, manhole covers, ect.
I have been pleased with it performance. It just doesn't come with the quick disconnect feature like the Glacier or Warn systems. It uses a mounting plate that is on the bottom of the quad.

I purchased a Warn 60" plow about 2 months ago and am still waiting on all of the parts. When I got the blade there was nothing in the box except the blade and wear bar. No bolts, return springs or even directions and I'm having a hell of a time getting the pieces that I paid for. Another problem with the Warn plow is the front mount. It seems like a good way to use a plow but if you want to leave the plow mount on the four wheeler all the time you have to leave the front plastic fairing off of the bike because it cant bolt on with the mounting bracket on there (looks like shit). My situation my be rare but if I was going to do it all over again I would NOT get the Warn plow.

Which Plastic fairing are you refering too? I have had great luck with worn and the reason I dont want to go to a polaris plow is because I have heard the quality is not as great as the warn. I will most likely have my dealer install the plow no matter which I get. About how many hours did it take you to put it on? does the mount cut down on ground clearence? My dealer charges 65 an hour labor soo.. haha

It's the plastic around the winch. The bracket for the blade uses the bottom bolt holes that the plastic uses and you cant have both bolted in at the same time. The quality of everything seems good and I finally got my parts today.

Is that the XT 30? And Couldnt you just get longer bolts so you can have both attached at the same time?

I use a 60 inch SnowSport ATV snow plow on my Polaris, I have used it for three years now. It do wonders, easy to install, and take off, I highly recommend it. I bought it from a company called BuySnowSportPlows:

Yes it's an XT30. I will have my plow completely installed this weekend and do a complete write up on it. You can't use longer bolts because the mount is in the way of the plastic fairing.
This is not a very good pic but this is what the bracket looks like installed.

Polaris Glacier II plow.
I have an `07 800 efi and I decided on the Polaris glacier II 60" plow and mount. The plow & mount came to $530 including tax. Has the adjustable saddles and the easy on/off is nice. The only extras I may be interested in are that flap for the top and those little whip like things for the left & right of the plow.
My buddy that has one suggested to get a heavy rubber flap to put on the bottom of the plow to help save the wear bar, actually you wouldn't be using the wear bar as the rubber rides on the surface. He said it's cheaper to replace the rubber than the wear bar.
