Hatfield & McCoy Trails - Bearwallow

Last year My buddies and I road the Rock House Trail System.
In late May of this year we plan on hitting up the Bearwallow Trail System.
I read on a different forum that some of the trails on this system have been shut down, having said that the thread was from 2014. Can anyone tell me if these trails are still shut down or are they reopened at this point?

Also, can anyone provide any recommendations on lodging in this area that will afford us the opportunity to hit the trail heads within a reasonable distance where we are not riding the road for long?

I appreciate any insight.

Thanks for the heads up.
Sorry for the double thread, I actually placed this under the trails section mods so this can be deleted if you feel necessary.
