Thumbs up My first video

Went riding by myself yesterday, which violates one of my prime directives, but had a good time nonetheless. Got to try out my new Tachyon helmet cam. Got about 70 minutes of video. I do notice that the helmet cam does not give the correct perspective as far as depth perception, steepness of the trail etc. Anyway here it is. Enjoy

Nice clear vid. Looks like a lot of fun

The depth perception issue is going to happen in the 1st person angle with these action cams. I have had two different models and have played with a bunch of different mounting positions with the same results. I think there is no reference point to show depth and elevation. Its tough when you are climbing a big hill or something and the vid looks like your on flat ground. I am no video expert but through my experimenting I can't figure out how to solve this problem. I honestly don know if there even is a "fix"

Thanks guys. That hill was really pretty steep. I have a lot more footage to work with. I'm really happy with the overall quality of the video. I don't see the reason to get HD video cam right now because most people don't have a fast enough internet connection for it anyway - that and Youtube limits your video size.

Video cam technology has come a long way and changes every day... In general all the cams produce a pretty good image.. I think the GoPro is on top, has rich colors, good contrast and handles the lighting changes.
