Ozarks Snowstorm: The Day After
We received an unprecedented 10+" of snow yesterday here in SW Missouri. It's only 12 degrees today, so there wasn't much riding in the snow, but I did manage to snap a nice picture while I was moving my XP to a warmer storage spot. This is behind my house in a spot where the wind had blown much of the snow down the hill into a drift.

Nice pic, I went riding this morning in the wooded area behind my house but it was about 2 feet deep in spot's from the rain we've been having and didn't want to get stuck back there by myself. Did find some water up a little over the floorboard's to play in that was in walking distance from my house. Wish we would get some snow down here.

I went out to my friends place near Belle, MO Friday. He has a long lane to the main road. They had around 12 inches then and he got 6 more Saturday. Anyway his vehicles were either stuck or wouldn't start. I did some plowing. Did pretty good for this amount of snow. Spent a couple of hours there and had to get back home for work at night.

Didn't know you got a new ride Brad.
It's kind of odd that we got so much more than you guys up north. some places in my front yard were nearly 3 ft deep (drifts of course). I didn't get to ride too much since I live in town, but when I did get out and run the roads, the snow was about 3/4 up my tires. I think the official depths around here were between 16 and 24 inches depending on location.

Yeah, I picked up this XP back in October. It's a 2010 550 and only had 73 miles on it when I bought it. I sort of decked it out with some better tires and wheels, mirrors and storage boxes/bags for my son to use when we go riding together. He'll be 13 in July and is still getting used to the size and power of this machine. His previous ride was a 200cc Sawtooth 2WD. He was getting to the skill level where he tried to follow everywhere Dad went on the AWD X2 and started have issues getting himself stuck. So, I found this machine for a really good price so that both our family's machines would be AWD.
