New Year's Eve Ride

Here are a few pics from our ride yesterday to end 2011. These pics were taken at "The Cliffs" in Illinois, just outside of Chicago. Was the perfect day for riding and the conditions were also perfect. This was a place that my buddy and I use to frequent a few years ago but with sport quads. Those days were disasters since there is a lot of mud and ruts. Now, after picking up new Polaris' a few months back, there wasn't much that we couldn't take on. Can't wait to go back again soon.

I was out this summer and it was so rutted by trucks that it was unusable by atvs on at least trail one. It was good riding other than that time.

Still plenty of trails that are too rutted but there are more that are usable than not. That was the main reason we stopped going there when we had sport quads. They sat too low and we got stuck much to often. However, this was definitely the Best Time we have had there in the years that we have been going. Honestly, can't wait to go back.

you didn't show everyone what that place is REALLY like . it's nic name is "insane terrain " and it is . these pics are of the tame areas . there are numerous off camber steep hillclimbs , DEEP mudholes , a big creek , and lots od cliffs to navagate . it is a wild place to ride , but I agree , the last time I went was with a sport quad and 4 jeeps = lots of down time digging people out . next time you go send me a pm , or post a little sooner when you go so I can meet ya down there .

Thanks, enjoyed the short time I've been on here. As for my dog, she's the Best. It's my girl Lola, she about 85lbs and a huge spoiled Baby.

Yeah, agreed, I failed to take more pics but it was a pain in the neck fishing for my cell underneath the layers. Also, we were having much too much fun to wanna stop and take a pic. So, I know I failed there but at least I gave a small taste of what is available at the Cliffs. I'll definitely try and post a bit earlier if I can. I'll be sure to let you know the next time we head out.
