Pictures of my new to me 2006 Sportsman 500

I got this on a trade. It has a 1.5" lift, 26" bighorns, and Stock Polaris/warn winch. I haven't had a chance to take it on a long ride yet. I am worried its a little low on power for me, but I am trying to get over that and just have fun. Anyways, on with the pictures.

if it doesnt have it already, a clutch kit would probably help restore some of the power with those slightly bigger, and certainly heavier tires

Well, I just bought and installed a brand new clutch. The previous owner had 28" Mudzilla's and I think they toasted the clutch. It had cracks and a broken moveable sheaeve bushing. I also mangled it when I took it off. So, I think a Heelclicker kit might be coming in the next couple of weeks.

Well I got my first ride in yesterday. Did 44 miles. One thing is this lift kit rides like crap. LOL Hopefully it is the lift kit, because if not this thing has to go. The steering was very unstable at high speeds, and the front end was very harsh. It has the spacer under the front spring and the relocation bracket in back, so I am pretty sure once I take them off it will ride better. Also, the PO had the handlebars standing up straight. I thought I moved them down enough, but I think I need to move them down another inch or two.

Great pics bro, hope you figure out the issues. Sounds like the lift kit is probably what needs to go.

Started removing the lift today. My wheel bearings were shot. I had a ton of play in them. So, I got some new ones at Oreilly's. Used Part number 510014. With the removal of the lift and new wheel bearings this thing should ride like a champ.

Here are some pictures after the lift and bumpers were removed. The ride is way better now.

Great pics, where is that? We have a buddy that lives in Watertown. We used to ride with him all the time at Windrock, ever go? He also used to talk about a place in Mid Tennessee, Mcminnville maybe?
