Talking Pics/Review from my ride in Medicine Bow NF in WYO

Kurt Menapace's Photos - Medicine Bow NF ATV Ride | Facebook

I could only attach a few photos to this post so I decided to post to my facebook and adjusted the privacy settings so all could see.

Great ride only about 30 mins outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming. There are so many trails to choose from and even more in the surrounding areas. There are open areas, forest areas, lakes, jumps, mud, small river crossings, high and low elevations, and hills and straight aways. We went on Monday so there are few other vehicles and people but watch out in forest areas as people tend to be hiking a lot there. There are tons of places to camp and fish, and trails are easy to moderate (though some hill climbs should be considered moderate-hard especially on utility machines). I'm not a very experienced rider but was able to all areas we went. I had to slow down on some speed straight aways since going 50+mph is a little scary on lose dirt trails for me. There is a lot of cattle and deer and few predators though I've heard bears and mountain lions are around (though I did not see any even though I had my firearm ready). Overall great trails and want to thank my buddy Grizz for the tour since I did not have a clue were to go without a map. And thank my Rev. Ed for the enjoyment of watching him fly on jumps in his Yammy Grizzly 400. Final note make sure you have good sun block for burn victims like me, at the trail head it is a little over 8000 feet and the nice overcast weather is deceiving, I got toasted.

Another note....Sorry for the quality of the pics. I left the camera battery charging on the wall so I had to use my phone to take the pictures.....

Nice pictures. We have been toying with the idea of moving from Northern IL and posts like this help.
