1989 250 2 stroke Trail Boss 4 wheel drive

Hi everyone I am new to the forums and have a question. I have this wheeler that I use at camp for a work horse and it has been acting up. I think it has something to do with the Electronic Throttle Control. It revs up when I shift to reverse, then when I hit the button to bypass the throttle limit for reverse the engine revs up. It is a little touchty in drive when the throttle is tapped on. I know the throttle cable is fine and lubed up and the needle in the carb is in good condition too. Anyone else experience the same problems?
