02 Sportsman 500 H.O. no spark!

Hi guys, I recently purchased a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. and everything was in good condition when I got it, however, every time I have taken it out on a trail something else has gone wrong with it. First I broke the hilliard clutch on the left front then my ignition switch went out, or so I thought. Well I just bypassed the switch so I could go riding on the trails with some buddies. Well I got in stuck in a hole, let me say no water got above the foot rests. But after we got it out of the hole I let it run for a few minutes then I turned it off so it could cool down. Well when we finally decided to call it a day I tried starting the bike and it would turn over but wouldn't start. We pulled the spark plug boot off and tried grounded it and no spark! So, I went to the local Polaris dealership and bought a brand new ignition because I figured I needed to fix one problem before the other. Well, hooked up the new ignition and nothing. No lights, wouldn't turn over or anything. I can bypass the wires on plug 2 and 5 and my lights and everything will come on and hook up 2 and 6 and it will turn the starter over, but still will not crank. Someone please help!!!

i would check your stator, you need a shop manual and a good multimeter to test the stator, also check the battery voltage and voltage regulator.

Ok I will give that a try. Would that also make my new ignition not to work?
