2007 predator 500 wont start
i will be very upfront and say that i am very new to atv's in general.. pretty handy all around, but never owned an atv, or anything of the sort..
found a good deal on a 2007 predator, and bought it...the guy who owned it past away about a year ago, so this thing has been sitting in a sealed location
heres whats goin on...
when i purchased the atv the stator cover was off, but all there. i took it home, installed the stator cover(did not touch the stator) and gears. battery is dead so i jumped it only to hear clicking.doesnt sound as if motor is turning though, all i hear is clicking fron the starter and starter gears. motor is not locked up( inside stator/magneto cover is a large circular part, im guesing is a clutch of some sort.. i can turn that and hear the motor turning.. at times i even get it to spit some gas or fluid out of carb)
was a little puzzled so i tried spraying some starter fluid in the carb, but nothing.. removed gas tank and drained it. removed fuel pump and blew thru it to ensure it was not clogged, and it was ok. bought and installed a new plug, and yet again tried starting it with and without starting fluid.
NOTHING....
please help me out, as my fiance isnt too happy right now.
please be specific as i am not by any means a pro at this....
