This looks like the place to be......
Hello everyone!! This sure looks like an informative place and I could sure use some direction. I'm a really old guy that is trying to live through a second childhood. I've never even ridden an ATV but have motorcycle experience. I just bought a 1999 Sportsman 500 "as is" for a song. The battery is dead but it will jump start instantly. Problem is that neither the AWD or the speedometer is working. Could it be the dead battery or is there another place to look? Being new to the forum, I'm sure that these problems have been beat to death so if anyone could lead me to a good thread on the subject or give some ideas, I'd probably save a lot of time and money. Thanks.
