I have a 2010 850 touring and didn't bother with the warranty.. haven't had a single problem with it.. Granted in canada the warranty is a little more than double your price.. If it had been $600 I may have gone for it.. But in hind sight, after 2 years it would have been $600 I didn't need to spend.. I think I'm the exception though, and most buyers do get the warranty, so its really a matter of doing what you feel is right for you.. If the oil in the airbox is what you're most afraid of, ask your dealer what he would charge to correct it if need be.. If its less than the warranty, maybe don't bother with it, but $600 isn't bad..
