Hi I am new to this so kinda bear with me pleez,I have a 2002 700 that the speedo took a dive on me , my son a while back emailed me a fix that he said he got off of this forum. The fix involved jumping certian wires so that the front diff. was wired to the high beam switch. I have no front engagement now ecept if I give it gas then it slams into 4 wheel so i leave the switch off.Easiest fix im sure is buy a new speedo but,$$$$$! Im not tight just broke!! Someone help

Denny, did you find any help? I am working on a 03 700 for a friend. Came to me with a bad rod bearing. Put in new bottom end, rings, valves. Test drove today a noticed that the speedo screen is blank, no speedometer, no odometer, obviously everything in the screen is gone, no 4x4 engagement. Main question, is the 4x4 thing because of the speedo head not functioning?

Tell you what Denny, talked to my friend today and he wants to put in a different speedo. I don't know if you are willing to wait that long but when I get it put in, I'll let you know if that was the issue. He figured even if it is something else causing the 4x4 to not engage, he has to have the screen functioning anyway. I'll keep you posted.
