Polaris SPORTSMAN X2

I don't own a Polaris yet but I am looking at a used one for sale it a 2010 Polaris SPORTSMAN X2 with 16 Hrs and 340 Km on it . Not knowing anything about Polaris I was wondering if there is any issues with that model and what to look particularly when you buy a used one.

First impression will take you a long way. Is it clean, how bad is it beat up. 16 hrs it should look new. Look at axel boots, see how much mud if any in the hard to see areas. If sold new at that dealership ask to see service records. I own a 07 500 x2. Love it,WR.

CC's and price?

I don't like to buy used stuff myself; especially an off road vehicle. That's just how I am, though. Most people would disagree.

You could buy a 2011 or 2010 leftover for REALLY CHEAP right now, so make sure you explore all your options.

There are some issues with the 850 that you should look into. Make sure you look into other brands before jumping into anything. Can-Am and Polaris are making the most desirable ATV's, right now. So, take a good look at both.

Search hard and read everything you can. After all, this is a big purchase.

Sounds like a good price.

There seems to be LESS issues with the 550 than the 850.

Have you looked into a leftover? The dealers around here are practically giving them away.

No problem. One last piece of advice: DO NOT be afraid to ask for a better deal on a leftover. They have plenty of room to move on price. Dealers around here are taking $1500 + off of MSRP.

Good luck, brother.

Also, start messaging moderators on here so they can tell you about the issues or lack there of. Blueline is very helpful and if he doesn't know something, he can definitely lead you to the right person to talk to.

One thing to look at, I don't belive the x2's have power steering. With two people they can be a little hard steering at low speeds. I have had no issues with my 07 x2. Good luck, like others have said look into hold overs,WR.
