glacier i mount 500

Hey guys. I'm new. Onward with the hazing!!!! I need help. I have a 2011 Sportsman 550 X2. I need to mount a Glacier plow to it, but the plow came off a 2005 Sportsman, and it's (i guess it's called) a first generation glacier plow.
It's not a glacier 2 or 3 or 4 or 78, just a glacier. I need this plow on my quad. So, will the mounting bracket for my quad hook up to the plow, or only a later model glacier plow? I know it can be done, but I'd rather buy the right bracket than chop/cut/rebuild the whole setup. Any help would be appreciated, really trying to have this plow ready to rock by tomorrow.

I don't believe that the first gen will fit ,(the plow mount anyway) I have had both mounts, one on a 2002 & 2007 spstmn and now the xp model and they mount totally different,that's because the frames are different and how they mount to the frame,check part numbers I'm pretty sure it's not compatible,good luck

Hey thanks for the info 800sport. I think i need something fabricated. Can't believe a huge company like that missed the market on their own equipment. I'm sure they'd rather sell a mounting bracket to retro fit their plows to their quads. Instead, everyone has to modify the equipment or find a custom fabricator. Oh well. Their loss.
