New sportsman owner.Lights problem

I just bought a 2005 sportsman 700 carb and when I turn on high or low beams they turn on and off almost like a strobe. Have a lot to do to 700 so any help would be appreciated. Also who has good prices on tire?

Sounds like the PO may have potentially done something to intentionally it to get it to strobe (as seen on youtube LOL) or it's a failed relay/diode. If you haven't already, I'd take the pod cover off and see what you find under there.

As for tires, the atvsuperstore and discount tires direct are sponsors here who sell tires and it's always nice to support those who support the forum. That being said, shopping around the net never hurt especially if you can find a discount code or coupon. I ended up at mudthrowers because they had the ones I wanted in stock and I had a discount code.

Thanks for the tip. I will check it out and also thought that maybe a loose ground could be at fault.

Is it a consistent flash, or random? If it is consistent, like a cop car, I would say the previous owner did something. If it is random, you have an electrical problem. Open up the pod light and see what is going on. Follow the wires from the bulbs back to the switch and see if there are any problems.

Thanks for help, I will check it out. The lights don't start blinking at first but after about a minute they do. Not a fast strobe just like on then off. Same thing on high and low beams.
