2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. oil brand
Should I use Polaris oil or is there a better oil out there that is recommended?I will be changing it soon.Also what is a good repair manual?

In my opinion:
Pick your brand...mobil 1, amsoil, OEM, they all have the proper weight.
Best repair manual. The OEM manual. Clymer or Haynes just can't compare.

I have been spending a lot of time over on the Dodge truck forums lately, and there is a lot of talk about Mobil 1 not being as good as it used to be. It seams since they were bought out, quality has been going down a little bit, but I have no first hand experience with it.
Castrol makes a very good oil too.

I have had zero issues using the Polaris oil & see no reason to use anything else,My dealer sells the Polaris Oil Change Kit that comes with the oil & filter that is what I use on My Sportsman 400 & My Sportsman 500. H.O
