leaking front hub
I have a 2002 polaris sportsman 4x4. I noticed there was front hub oil leaking down on the inside of tire. I checked front hub and it was empty, not sure where to start or how to do it. Please Help!

i had a same problem on my 400 check your seal if it looks bad replace it but if it looks good dont buy a new just get some rpv silicon and put it on the area next to the oil seal they say to do it in the book i did this and it was fixed also move the hub around by spinning it that should stop it

does it really work? as I replaced both front seals and they still leak  and did you mean RTV or rpv ??? silicon

Anyone have a problem of it leaking from hub cap? I put a new o ring and siliconed it and still leaking. Unless it's the hub seal and it's running down to the front of the rim and making it look like it's from the hub cap?

rtv yeah it did work it.
i got the Manuel and they say in to do that to gurantee no more leaks
oh and the guy about the hub cap try taking all the parts to the hillard clutch and armature plate and bearings.and put it back together and pull the front axle out all the way sometimes due to it not being pulled out it will leak cuz it will leave open gaps

Just wondering but what manual? I am sitting thinking how silicon is going to seal a rotating part to a non-rotating part 
Do you just squeeze the silicon all around the smooth part of the axle that beds with the seal?
