Trailblazer
Hey ya`ll, Will here, another newb to the foorum. The wife and i picked up three trailblazers form the early to mid 2000`s. We are new to the owners scene but I have riden since i was young but never owned one until now.
I have noticed noise out of the transmission. Have any of you experienced this on the trailblazers before. Could this be the actual internal drive chain inside the tranny or would it be the exterior drive chain that is slipping? the external chain did come off on trhe trails yesterday but did not break. Next if the exterior chain is bad or to loose, can a link be taken out of them to draw in the slack on the chain.
Will a 10 inch wide tire , bead to an 11 wide inch rim? Have 2 dunlop 23-10-10
We live in Lawrenceville Georgia. Can anyone help me out with a place that is relativley close to 316, besides the Cedars-HurricaneShoals Rd trail, to go riding. Tired of driving 35 mins to Lithonia to ride every week. I searced the area via google earth to try and find some spots but it seems all of those areas are not well hidden from sight.
My next investment is tires but until then any recommendations on how to break the bead on a tire. Kind of limited on tools but I do have acces to a couple pry bars. Will these work?
Thanks for the help.
Will

Newbie- looking at my first Polaris
I came across an 04 sportsman 600, under 500 miles, 80 hrs, asking price is $3600. Machine appears nice in pics, but going to look at tomorrow. What should I look for to avoid a lemon? Any common problems to look for on this 600? Any help would be appreciated. Last quad was a honda several yrs ago. Polaris has a good name. Intend to use the quad for snow plowing, trail riding, tubing in the snow, chores around the yard, etc.

feel free to post a thread about any problems you might have, as we all learn from those. but this thread will hopefully give you an idea who to ask for help from.
existing members, if you have any speciality skills that you wouldn't mind sharing and helping new people with, post those up here!
i'll start....
I have a few years of polaris parts experience and sales experience too. I also have special access to the dealer site. Most of my knowledge is on the newer machines. I can help with parts and sells with all models polaris (atv's, sideXsides, snowmobiles, and watercraft) i have installed almost every accessory in the polaris book at one time or another. i have also done a lot of "little" service shop stuff, but nothing major. but being behind the parts counter, i felt like a service guy a lot of the time.
if you have any questions that releate to:
-sales purchasing
-rebate help
-sales fees/discounts
-VIN# runs for possible recalls
-Accessory install help
-Part # help/cost
-Find a part #
-What parts fit what years and models
-Maintenance Questions
-General Service Questions
if you have a question even close to any of these topics, please feel free to PM me at any time. I will do my best to help you out, or point you in the right direction.
who else has special skills that they can offer help on?

1990 350 2-stroke coolant problem
I have coolant pouring from my counterbalancer dipstick hole when I checked the oil level and comming out of the crankcase breather tube when running.
Iam asuming it is the water pump seal but not sure.
Dont know if it has done any damage to counterbalancer bearing or anything else?
Any tips on how to get the flywheel housing off ?
How big of a job is it to change the seal?
Thank's for any info

Hi younggun,
I had a good bit of trouble too when I first got on here and tried to post a new thread. But at the top it will say "ATV Form" click on it a then scroll down through them until you find the category your looking for then click on it and scroll down to the bottom and click "Post Reply" and ask whatever question you are needing an answer for. It's very simple after you get the hang of it. I hope this helps you

Hi everyone i'm new , came on board yesterday.
I live in Bariloche, Argentina. mecanic skills close to 0. My english is ok but i have troubles with mecanic terms such as switch ,sensor ect,,..
Love my polaris 09 550xp eps since it survived at least 20 tumbles on a mountain with 10 hours on it..
It cost me half to fix here as to buy a new one in the usa.It cost me double to buy it in the first place......booooouuu! So yea 20K for a polaris ! Not my best of ideas, but i do love the black very scratched bumble bee.
The Polaris reps here that sold it to me where of no help...or worse. won't even go into that.
Don't ever forget you live in the best country on earth, where being a client still means something.
To my current problem i overheated two days ago, the cooler liquid in plastic bottled steamed out, seems like the fan is not working, i did go in some water....just above normal level.
90 hrs of use.
Looks like i have very little oil in engine (not sure ,yellow knob half cut ???)and cooler liquid only in radiator(looks full) not plastic bottle(looks empty) .....so the steps to follow are ? there are alot , don't know where to start. i'm guessing here after reading some blogs.
1)i switched the relay(only easy thing i did ).?
2)change oil.?
3)change cooler liquid.?
4)i pulled the plug that comes out of the radiator, with contact on, the fan did not come on,,, a little water came out of the plastic cable cover when i pulled it...could that be it?
i think its called switch ?
5) apply 12 volts to cooling fan to see if it works?
6) where is thermostat(could it be stuck???)(temperarure sensor is it?) ? is that what comes out of the fan?
7) circuit breaker in the back of the atv, what does it look like , is there another circuit breaker?
8) take cover off of water pump and see if impeller is ok ? got that on blog don't know where it is.
am i leaving anything out?
Of course i am taking the atv to a bike mecanic but i wanted a clue before going, and the steps to follow. they need help here ....lol.
I will need to buy parts in APRIL, i will be in Miami for a month.Any part for this fix i need , and things like hand and thumb warmers , the hand protectors, a rear view mirror, yellow oil mesurer plastic part, the front cargo box and anything that might come up in my mind before then or advised here..maybe the turn lights? Anyone want to help?
Thanks for the patience for reading the long post and thanks in advance for advice.
PAT.
