Help! Sportsman ECU removal

I am trying to remove my ECU to send to RVS performance for the ECU tune off of my 2016 Sportsman HL 1000 and having an incredibly hard time getting the ECU out. Has anyone else done this before? What kind of tabs are on the bottom? I can get my hand to it but it is extremly tight and I have no idea what im feeling for (its like my first girlfriend all over again)

I'm guessing it's the same as my 570 it 4 torx screws two on top two on bottom took 5 min to get it out. Back in was a little more tricky but still easy

Took mine out of the 1000 the other day to send to RVS. The douche who put it in that tight ass location, with no slack in the wire loom needs to be curbed. That was probably the same guy that designed the ecu housing with all those sharp edges.
I wish that I could accurately tell you how I got it out. The tabs are not the typical ones found on electrical connectors. There is a hinge like system that needs to be rotated from the left side towards the right side of the bike. Of course it is located underneath the ECU and the connector. Once you get that hinge rotated, you should be able to lift up on the ECU body and it should pull free from the connector.
I know my description sucks.

Got mine out last night, ended up pulling almost the entire air box out and that was enough to get two hands back in there to rotate that lever down and lift up on the ECU, not without cutting the hell out of my hands i might add lol
I hope this ECU flash is everything Ryan says its going to be!

It looked like i stuck my hands in a sack full of cats by the time I got that dang thing out. Then i immediately thought how in the eff am I going to get it back in? Will definitely rope someone in with much smaller hands to do it.
And you are right-it better live up to the hype!
I am surprised that there is not more talk on this forum about people buying this flash.

I can see why some people wouldnt want to after the hell you have to go through to get it out! Then again if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

Help! Sportsman ECU removal

Maybe because it's the HL edition some things are moved and harder to get at but I have done 2 570s and its straight forward and easy. Glad I lucked out
