Looking to Snorkel
Hey there! I'm new to the forum and have some questions, was hoping to get some opinions please  I'm looking to snorkel my 2002 sportsman 500 HO.
Not sure where to start either. Has anyone snorkeled an 02 before and what materials did you use?

Good to see another Floridain here!! Do a search for snorkeling, I've seen threads here on the subject. Where do you ride @?

Thanks! I ride out at zephyrhills off SR54, it's known as "Rancho". I also ride out at Horse Hole if your familiar with that area in Inglis,FL. Where do you ride at?

I ride alot @ Rancho, only 10 min. from the house. Also ride @ Coom,
5A-Scottsmoore, Haines City-Lake Marion area. Just got back from Tates Hell State Forest & brother in laws 5,000 acre hunt club camp. Part of the hunt club land is right on the St. Marks river & was quite nice to cool off in! Plan on going to Ocala National Forest trails & River Ranch in the near future. I haven't been yet to private pay places like Horse Hole, Dirty Foot Adventures ect. Maybe we can get together & ride some trails! Good luck with the snorkel mod.

I've been to croom too. However rancho is by far my favorite! My boyfriend and I are always out there with friends. We'll def have to meet up and ride sometime. We're in the process of restoring this sportsman that's been sitting for 3 years. New rear cv axles, ball joints, bushings, bearings.. pretty much everything from front to back underneath has been replaced. It'll be almost brand new again 
We're gonna attempt this snorkel idea now. I'd like to relocate the radiator but it seems like an awful lot of work because the coolant reservoir has to be moved too so it flows right, so I've read on some threads.

I remember reading a thread here that goes into detail about snorkleing, had a parts list and everthing needed to perform the mod.. Just got back from Rancho & def need some rain!!! Stayed on the outside trails to avoid the main road it was a dust bowl!!! Takeing the boat to the Winter Haven chain
tomorrow for some riding & swimming!!! Let me know when you go to Rancho!!

I'll do some more searching. Thanks. I believe we're going out to rancho this weekend... if I get my clutch springs from EPI this week(hopefully!)
