2011 polaris 500 ho snorkel

Anyone find a good snorkle kit, or any snorkle kit for that matter, for the 2011 Polaris 500 H.O.? They make them for the 800 XP and everyone I ask says "they are not sure if the 2010 system will fit". Wanted to get some thoughts before I spend money and waste time on something if its not going to fit.... Also, building my own isn't out of the question if anyone has detailed directions or video. Thanks for the help guys!

I have not seen a kit for the 2011 yet and the 2010 will not fit. I have not seen anyone with a 2011 500 snorkled yet. You may have to spend many frustrating hours in the garage in order to have the first snorkled 2011 500.

Thanks Bruce, a lot of really good info on here... This is my first Polaris.... any other mods or upgrades you guys would suggest for aggresive mudding and trail riding?

Mudding is a game of ground clearance and tires so I would get a lift and some good tires as well as a clutch kit to help that 500 turn the tires in the mud.

I am a newbie to the modification game. I researched clutch kits and think I have a good grasp on the purpose of them. Suggest any good ones? of course ones that would fit a 2011 and how difficult would it be for a person with minimum mechanical knowledge to install? Thanks for all your help guys!

There are many companies that have different kits such as QSC, EPI, Highlifter, or Heelclicker to name a few. I would go with Quad Shop Customs. Just give them a call and tell them your machine, wheel/tire you are running, and riding style. They will put a kit together based on what they think is best for you. As far as installation, these vids are very detailed and will walk you through everything you need to know about the clutch. Enjoy.
