sportsman clutch

I have a 2003 Sportsman 700. I just got a primary clutch from a 09 Sportsman 800 given to me and am in the process of switching it out and was wondering if i would have to switch out the secondary as well? I have read so differing opinions on this. Thanks!

no you can run the stock 700 driven clutch also run the 800 clutch spring and 800 clutch weights and drive belt.

I have a 2002 with a good primary clutch but need a new secondary .
does this been that a secondary off a 2008 will work with a 2002 primary too??

the 03 stock secondary will work but you will be happier with the newer ,Roller secondary, I did ths to my 03-700, adds quite a bit more bottom end, may lose a little top but the newer clutches grab the belt alot better, didnt use low range near as much, also get the 800 belt, alot tougher

yes the 08 secondary will work with the older primry but t6hey work better if both are newer

is there a belt you can recommend
should I go with the stock belt for the 02 or use the stock belt from the 08
let the experimenting begin!!
