Speedwerx

I just ordered my new HotSeat can and clutch kit from Speedwerx. I'll let you know how it turns out after I get them both on along with my new wheel/tire combo I got from Thor.

Just got the clutch kit in today. I put the can on about a week ago. The clutch kit hands down is well worth the money. I can already tell that. I used the spring for low end (trailering).

The can.... a little different story. I like the sound itself, but it's a bit loud. I wish it was about 5-7dbs quieter. I can say that it's a head turner though. I will probably put the stock can back on for hunting as it's much more quiet.

All in all, I'm very happy with it.

Hi,

I made a db-dawg myself out of steel.
It took the sound down for 5-6db.

Have a look on it.

Search for db-dawg.
The original one is out of aluminium - no chance to use ii with our Polaris.
It will melt away.

I'm in the process of putting the clutch kit in now...I had to drop the driven clutch off at the shop to get them to compress the spring for me. I'm glad to hear that you're pleased with yours...I hope I am too.

Mines an 05 700 with a HS full exhaust. I'm pretty happy with the exhaust sound...but they'll be no sneaking up on people, that's for sure. LOL

DB-Dawg looks easy, but for $50 I'll just put the stock can on during hunting season.

I gotta save my money for a PCV and Benelli Super Vinci.

Did you put the clutch kit on yourself or have the dealer do it? How hard is it to install?

I had Tom Miller do it for me.

He's very good and considering he's about 20 minutes from my house.... having him work on my stuff is a no brainer!

You can check him out here. Tom Miller Motorsports – ATV Engine Services, Suspensions & Parts & Accessories

I just did one myself...the only bit I couldn't handle was the installation of the secondary spring (since I didn't have the tool). So I took the driven clutch into the local dealer and they compressed it for me in about 10 minutes. Everything else was cake.

I just put 26'' black diamond tires on my xp, It didn't rob any power that I have noticed, but do you guys think a clutch kit would help with better acceleration over the stock clutch setup........enough to tell a difference?
