Polaris Idle issue
Can anyone help me, Having problem with my 1993 Trail Boss 350 not idling properly, I start it and it just rev's up to about 1500-2000 rpm's and just won't slow down, if I give it gas is slows to normal 800 rpm's or so, but then it goes right back to the high Rpm's, I have changed the gas cleaned the filters and checked all throttle linkage and cable slack! It also feels like there is nothing in the thumb throttle, very loose.

Hello and welcome!
You say you adj the throttle cable and the thumb is still loose? Something is wrong here. The cable should be adjusted so there is just a bit of slack so when you turn the bars the position doesn't change. If too much or too little problems such as your seeing can occur.
I would look at that cable again sounds too loose to me.

The throttle housing on the handle bar was causing the motor to stahl out last year and I did do some adjustments to it, do you think that it is possible the I bent, broke or wrecked something inside that housing?
