air filter question

all of my bikes are stock but i am looking at putting high performance air filters on the as i have had some problems with them at high altitudes. they run fine with the airbox cover off but are quite loud. my question is which is better the uni filter or k&n?

just got my Uni's for my 2 based on Longshot's recommendation. Putting them in tomorrow. I can get back to you if you want but Uni seems to be the consensus around here so that is why I got mine.

Just got back from Colorado and was riding in the mountains at 13000 feetand had no problem with the Uni filter. Just keep it clean.

Like SMP63 said, they are foam with a foam cover. Both get oiled.
